They were a company in downtown Toronto. Great company. As soon as you walk in, you feel the chemistry in the air.

Heather Haslam:
What should small businesses think about in terms of how to choose the technology? So what are some of the considerations that they should be taking into account?

Mohamed Basma:
Yeah, and I think this is where it's important to think about choosing the right provider versus choosing a provider just based on cost. And number one, when I say the right provider, I think number one, it's important that small businesses, especially small business owners, have ambitions. They want to grow, to want to be a bigger company as well. So they want to hire a provider that can scale with them and grow with them.

So I'll give an example. One of the small business owners that I visited, they were a company in Downtown Toronto. Great company. As soon as you walk in, you feel the chemistry in the air. What they do is if you've ever seen, the window cleaner repelling from high rises, coming down and trying to clean the windows.

Heather Haslam:
My heart always flutters when I see them.

Mohamed Basma:
Yes. That's exactly what they do. And I was asking them. I was asking the owner, super smart guy. And I asked him, why did you choose ADP?  It's like Mohamed, I'm small business today. I'm going to be big business tomorrow. I want a provider that is well known in the market, that is compliant, that can help grow with me as I grow as a company. So that's very important to pick the right provider as such. That's one. Second is if you think about these HR and payroll and your people and your people salary. For most businesses, that's your number one line item, the biggest.

Heather Haslam:
Yeah. Your biggest expense.

Mohamed Basma:
So you don't want to put that at risk. It's very important to your business. Very important to compliance as you file your tax form at the end of the year, to see if you made an error or not. So you want to put that in the hands of the experts and make sure you pick the provider that has the background, the skill set, and the ability to keep you out of trouble and keep you compliant because the cost is too high.
